Our Winter Corporation Meeting was held Wednesday night, February 24^th. Attendance was low, but I want to thank all of you that took the time to attend. The Hammerhead Sharks (PreK-1) will have breakfast with their moms this Friday, March 20^th beginning at 8:45am.

Work Days

At the last board meeting, it was decided to schedule one work day per month. Here is a list of dates: Saturdays: March 28^th and May 2^nd. As the dates approach, watch for a schedule and tasks to be completed.

Fund-raisers:

Murder Mystery Dinner

Tickets will soon be on sale in the office for our 6^th Mystery Dinner fund-raiser at the Unitarian Fellowship. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 2^nd beginning at 6:30 - ?. Add Roosevelt will be preparing dinner which will be served with wine from Alto Pass. The cost of each ticket will be approx. $35.00/person. The goal is to have 150 people attend this fun, adult only evening. Watch for further information as to how you can help. *** Ask someone that attended last year...it was a blast! People in the community are already asking about it. ***

Plant Sale

This wonderful event will take place at CNS on Saturday, May 9^th ( Just in time for Mother's Day). Hanging baskets, bedding and potted plants from McNitts Nursery will be available. Please watch for further details. As the date approaches, a sign-up sheet for volunteers to work that day will be posted in the foyer. Please mark your calendars now. Thanks.

Kroger/Target

I just deposited approx. $500.00 from these two companies. Thanks to all of you that continue to support CNS. There are still 2 Kroger cards in the office ($5) if interested.

Parking

Thank you for being more aware of pulling your cars into a parking spot and not stopping in the middle of the parking lot. It is greatly appreciated by all!

Yearbook

Have you ordered your 2008-09 yearbook yet?? Order forms are in the office and the cost is $15.00. Yearbooks come out in the fall so that the entire school year is included.

Lost & Found

Please take a few minutes and go through the lost & found items. The boxes located in the lunchroom are labeled sm., med., & lg. Monique & I will try to lay out all the items on the lunchroom tables every couple of weeks for your convenience.

Student Evaluations

Student evaluations have been put in family mailboxes. Please take the time to read through it, as the teachers have spent a great deal of time and effort on them. If you have questions/concerns be sure to share them with your child's teacher during conferences in April.

IMPORTANT..After reviewing all the evaluations it was astonishing to see how many students are consistently tardy. This is a huge interruption to the teachers and classmates. Being considerate of others by being prompt is a valuable lesson that we should be teaching our children.
