THANKSGIVING

Our Thanksgiving feast will be celebrated at CNS on Wednesday, November 26th at

11:00 A.M. Prior to that Wednesday, each teacher will send home a list of items needed for the pot-luck dish that each classroom will provide for the feast. Please watch for the information as the date gets closer. We also need 4 cooked and pre-carved turkeys donated for our meal. Please contact Linda or Monique if you can provide a turkey. In addition to the dishes prepared by the classes and the donated turkeys, we ask that each family bring a pot-luck dish with a serving utensil to add to the feast.

For those of you who are new to New School, our feast is for ALL students, staff and families. A pot-luck buffet is set up and then we all sit down and eat together. The children are dismissed after lunch (approximately 12:00).

If you cannot join us, please plan to pick up your child(ren) by 12:00 as there is NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. Additionally, there is no school on Thursday or Friday, November 27th and 28th. Of all the events at CNS, Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for all of us to join in Thanks. Hope to see you there!!!!!

We need volunteers to pick up tables and chairs on Tuesday afternoon and return them after lunch on Wednesday. We will also need help on Wednesday morning to set up for the dinner and for clean-up. Watch for a sign up sheet in the foyer.

The staff does notice a difference in the students' behavior when they eat sweets at snack and lunch. The staff is requesting that you monitor the amount of sweets that get sent to school. Remember, soda is only allowed during school parties. If you purchase a Lunchable that includes a can of soda, please remove the soda before sending it to school. Thanks for your support!

CNS is so fortunate to have so many wonderful and involved parents. The staff wants you to know how much we truly appreciate all that you do for us!!!!
