PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

(December 6 & 7)

These are scheduled for Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7. School will be dismissed at Noon on Thursday. Childcare will be available Thursday afternoon, with after school charges beginning at 3:30 p.m. There is NO SCHOOL for the students on Friday. The conference schedule is posted outside each classroom door. Please be on time for your thirty minute conference, as

the teachers will need to stay on schedule.

WINTER PROGRAM

(Wednesday, December 19^th )

Please make sure that your family arrives at Quigley Auditorium in the Quigley building (across from Woody) on SIU campus at 6:45 p.m.. The program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

You will be receiving a notice closer to this date regarding details for the Winter Program. Please ask in the office if you need more detailed information..

BOARD MEETING

There will be no board meeting in Dec.

HOLIDAY BREAK

(December20 - January 7)

Our last day of school with NOON Dismissal will be Thursday, December 20th. School will be back in session on Monday, January 7, 2008!

This is also a great opportunity to clean out cubbies and check the lost and found. It's also a great time to check your child's supplies and replenish needed items.

WEATHER REMINDER

We will try to get the children outside as much as possible during the winter season, so please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately. Suggetions: boots, mittens, hats, etc. Also having an extra set of winter clothes (including socks and shoes/slippers) at school will be greatly appreciated. Remember to label with your them with your child's name.

YEARBOOK

Orders for this year's yearbook will begin in January. As an incentive to order yearbooks early, the cost of a yearbook if made before February 1 will be $13.00. After February the cost will be $15.00, the same as last year.

TUITION

Unless prior arrangements have been made, tuition needs to be current for the second semester. Billing for January tuition and fees will be done when we get back to school on the 7^th. Payment will be due that week.

LIGHTS FANTASTIC PARADE

The parade on Saturday, December 1^st is rain or shine. The actual float look great thanks to several parents who have come to help. I would like to give a special thanks to Jennifer & Patrick Rollinson, Joe Matthews and Dan Jones. Without them CNS would not be in the parade. If you still wish to help, parents are welcome to come by Dan Jones home at 3100 Chautauqua on today (Friday) 6:00pm - ? And again on Saturday between 8:00am - 2:30pm. If you are interested in walking behind the float, you need to have on lights. We will be lining up on Mill street near the underpass around 5:00pm. Hope to see you soon.

CRAFT FAIR

Remember to visit the craft fair at SIU Student Center. It is held this today (Friday) November 30^th and Saturday December 1^st .

Check out Laurie's booth. She also has some items that the kids made to sell.
