ITBS TESTING

Feb. 3 - 5^th (Mornings only)

Students in grades 4^th -7^th will be taking the ITBS. Please make sure your child get a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast.

EARLY DISMISSAL

(February 6^th)

Friday, Feb.6th is our next early dismissal. School ends at 2:00 p.m. with after school charges from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

VALENTINE'S DANCE

(February 13th )

On the evening of Friday, February 13th, there will be an all school dance! It will begin at 6:45 p.m. and the kids can dance into the night (until 8:45). There will be a $3.00 admission for students, adults are free. Read the pink information sheet that was in your mailbox for details.

PRESIDENT'S DAY

(February 16^th )

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 16^th.

CREATIVE OLYMPIAD

(February 20^th)

This wonderful event has been reschedule to Feb. 20^th. Currently, there are 15 teams. Even if you are not interested in being a contestant, please feel free to come and watch. Festivities begin at 6:00PM.

INSTITUTE DAY

(February 27^th )

There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 27^th. This is a working day for staff. Enjoy your long weekend.

CORPORATION MEETING

(February 24^th)

Please mark your calendars as all parentsshould plan to attend our Corporation Meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24^th at 6:30 p.m.(Childcare will be available during the meeting).

One important item on the agenda is to vote in our new board members! If you are interested in joining the board, please contact someone on the nominating committee. There are at least TWO board openings. Each position is a two year term. If you have any item that you would like placed on the agenda, be sure to let Linda know A.S.A.P. The agenda will be in your family mailbox a few days prior to the meeting.

WORK DAYS

At our last board meeting, upcoming dates were chosen for three Saturday work days beginning at 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM. If you are able to attend, please plan to arriveno later than noon. More information will be shared at the Corporation and through

e-mails/newsletters. The dates are; February 28, March 28, and May 2.

FUND-RAISING EVENTS

Yearbooks

There is some confusion about yearbooks. I'll try to answer any questions.... Yearbooks from last school year (2007-08)have arrived. If you purchased one last year, it was placed in your mailbox. If you are interested in buying one now, the cost is $13.00. Payable in the office.

2008-09 Yearbooks

The office is now taking orders for this years yearbook, which will likely be completed next fall, maybe sooner. If interested, please take the time to order a yearbook. The cost is $15.00 payable to CNS.

SAFETY REQUEST

(parking)

Please remember when entering the parking lot to pull all the way into a parking space.This is important even if you are justdropping off or picking up a student. When a car parks or stops in the middle of the lot, it makes it difficult for other cars to maneuver, and it is dangerous. Please don't leave your car running even if "I'm only going to be a minute."

Remember to send WARM clothes. BRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
